Delete your Remember account and data
This page explains how to request deletion of your Remember account and associated data. It is publicly accessible and applies to the Remember mobile app.
How to request deletion
To delete your account, please email our support team:
- Email: remember.helpdesk@gmail.com
- Subject: “Account Deletion Request”
- Include:
- That you want to delete your Remember account and data
- The email you used to sign in or link (Google or Apple), if any
- Any identifiers you have (e.g., app user ID if visible in the app, or your platform receipt for purchases)
Note: Anonymous accounts are created automatically when Remember starts. If you never linked Google or Apple and never uploaded a cloud backup, most of your content remains only on your device. You can also delete local data by uninstalling the app; however, please contact us if you want backend identifiers removed as well.
What we will delete
- Account records (Firebase Authentication user, including anonymous or linked Google/Apple accounts related to Remember)
- Cloud backups you uploaded (backup ZIPs in Firebase Storage)
- Backup metadata stored in Firestore
- Memories
- Diary entries
- Daily answers
- Photos
- Voice notes
- Profile data and preferences
- Social/referral data
- Push token/device records used for notifications
Data that may be retained
- Subscription and payment records where retention is required by law or platform policy (handled via RevenueCat and the app stores)
- Limited fraud or security logs if reasonably necessary to protect our services
Retention timeline
We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Where third‑party processors (e.g., app stores or analytics) have their own retention obligations, their time frames may apply.
